Meet William Gross, DDS

Treating Sleep apnea patients with oral appliance therapy for over 30 years.

During the late 1980’s I was treating patients with TMJ/CFPD daily utilizing unique musculoskeletal Bio Research technology. At that time, I was invited to attend a first ever meeting in Milwaukee to understand and treat obstructive sleep apnea with the first FDA approved oral device. Shortly after my training, I was approved as the first dentist in New Jersey to treat sleep apnea with an oral device. Then through physician contacts I became a partner in one of the first sleep centers outside of a hospital in Morristown, NJ.

Our Patients Love Us

I would like to say, Mrs. Jenny was such a pleasure to work with during my sleep study and consult. I didn’t think I had sleep apnea until she took a look at my airways. She went over some concerns with me during my hygiene appointment at my dental office (Dental Care Of Greensboro). I signed up to do the at home sleep study. She had me come in and went over how to use the device. I took it home and it was the easiest thing I’ve ever done. I then returned it to her the next day and within a week I had a consult with Mrs. Jenny to go over my results. Turns out I DO HAVE SLEEP APNEA. Which explained a lot of my other medical issues such as weight gain (and not being able to lose my weight) my PCOS, and feeling tired ALL THE TIME. She went over two different kinds of sleep devices and because I’m tight on money right now, but still wanted to take care of my sleep apnea, I ended up choosing the “MyTap'' device. It’s a temporary device that I can use for up to a year just to see how I like using it. I got my device within 1-1.5weeks later. Went in and Dr.Gross who is also my dentist was able to mold my device for me and I took it home the same day! I’ve been using my device for two months now and I’ve noticed positive changes in my mood and my energy. I’m looking forward to doing another test to see the difference between my first results and second results after using the device. Thank you North Carolina Sleep Solutions for giving me a second chance.

I had been suffering for years with daytime sleepiness, plus grinding my teeth severely. North Carolina Sleep Solutions provided a very easy at home sleep test for me. I discovered that I had sleep apnea, and chose to pursue oral appliance therapy over a CPAP machine. The oral appliance they made me to treat my sleep apnea, has helped alleviate my daytime sleepiness and has helped relieve the symptoms from teeth grinding. I love how refreshed and invigorated I feel after a good night's sleep wearing my oral appliance.

I have been undergoing oral appliance therapy to treat my sleep apnea for several months. When I sleep with it I wake up feeling more rested. It took a few attempts to get used to it, but now when I sleep with it the comfort level is better. Now if I can only train myself to sleep on my back. I would recommend North Carolina Sleep Solutions to anyone struggling with their airway being closed off leading to snoring and restless sleep.
